If you are reading this you most likely work for a label that we like. That rules.

We have a new record just itchin to be released and we would love to work with you. Check out the tunes, watch a couple videos, and understand that we want nothing more than to tour year round. If you're still following, shoot us an email.

Cheers,
Ramming Speed

Record Info:
Brainwreck is 13 tracks, 30 minutes, and was recorded at Boston's legendary studio, New Alliance (Isis, Converge, Keelhaul), by Jordan Levantini and mastered by Nick Zampiello (Converge, Isis, Coliseum).

Bio:
Ramming Speed played its first show in January of '07 (previously the band played with a different drummer under the band name Despotic Robot) and has since played around 100 shows including full US and east coast jaunts to support a self released 7". While the 45 touched on “fairly serious” topics such as pizza parties and blue tooth phones, the band returned from tour with a slightly different mindset. Ramming Speed experienced in 6 weeks what many bands never come across in a life time. The "Speed Boat" broke down in the middle of the desert, the band was filmed for the LA reality TV show "Beach Patrol" the next morning, and two evenings later the whole gang was detained at gun point outside Sacramento for suspected kidnapping (no one went to jail, and charges were later dropped after "false report of a crime" fines were paid). These experiences merely scratch the surface of a tour that also included riot cops and a Hells Angels 4th of July party. Needless to say, Ramming Speed came home road hardened and ready to write a pissed off, fast fucking record. This time around, the music and lyrics are far more aggressive and poignant. Topics covered include American xenophobia, terrorist paranoia, and the metal scene's general aversion to politics. Musically speaking, the thrash metal has made room for nods to the Swedish grind and crust sounds, offering up heavy D-beat riffs and crushing blasts. Read close and you'll still find a song about a zombie-killing lawyer, a party anthem about Thor's hammer, and hear absolutely face melting guitar solos, but these are all tucked between furious rants on current events and the evolving world around us.

Tour Plans:
This summer will bring forth a change for the band. Come July, jobs will be quit, leases will be broken, and our van will be stocked with beer and magazines. Ramming Speed are currently planning a month long east coast tour for July into August with Richmond's Battlemaster (who we are doing a split with), a full US tour for September/October and a Canadian tour for later in the fall. Winter will include another US tour and possibly Mexico. Spring of '09 will host a European tour alongside UK's Burning the Prospect (FETO Records, Shane Embury's label) who we will also also be releasing a split 7” with. All in all, the plan is to tour as much as possible for as long as possible.

Ricky Zampa – Guitar // Ex Inheritance
Kallen Bliss – Guitar //Ex Cyanide Breed

Spring Arts Preview: The Boston scene gets ready to bust out
By MICHAEL BRODEUR // The Boston Phoenix
March 10, 2008 5:59:41 PM

"Spring may bring with it a surplus of sneezing fits, muddy puddles, and questionable tank-top choices, but it also packs a bevy of new releases. You don’t think local musicians just hole up indoors, smoke pot, watch episodes of The Wire, and lay dormant all winter, do you?

... the boys of RAMMING SPEED are welding the final scraps of their debut full-length, which is due in late May. Over the past year, they’ve knocked out about 80 shows all over the US, found themselves smelly and stranded in the desert, flirted with reality TV, and got arrested for kidnapping. (They didn’t do it.) Expect an album that takes these varied experiences into account while sticking to its mission of destroying your face with songs about everything from metal’s distaste for politics to the mighty hammer of Thor. Recorded with Jordan Levantini at New Alliance, Brainwreck seems sure to rule on multiple levels. "
